Sam de Silva
has been working in digital media since 1990. He is interested in using
the medium to effectively communicate social, cultural and political messages.
He has been involved with the Stop Jabiluka and the East Timor campaigns,
and more recently with the J18 planning and actions. He was involved with
the AFC-funded Metabody project which attempted to explore human-machine
issues, and he has spoken at MAAP97 in Brisbane and at the Next Five Minutes
3 event in Amsterdam. He is currently enrolled in a Master of Research at
the Animation and Interactive Media Centre at RMIT. His project involves
exploring and problematising the role of the human face in a digital domain.
